Every journey conceals another journey within its lines: the path not taken and the forgotten angle.

It was my first book by her that I found in the Filozofska fakulteta library in Ljubljana “by chance”. After that I read most of her other books. Upon reading The PowerBook eight years ago I wrote her an open letter which I don’t know if she ever got, saying that she helped me move borders for love.
Here I posted some of my favourite passages from Sexing the Cherry (I think I loved the title so much already that I couldn’t possibly hate the book):

Oh I love your open letter too! Her writing is the kind that changes you… definitely want to read The PowerBook now!
Sexing the Cherry is a tricky title to translate 😀 when I was in the library (it was a chance meeting too), the description on the back cover about “princesses who lived happily ever after, just not with their husbands” convinced me to take it, their stories are great, but then everything about this book is. 🙂

😀 Oh yes, this a convincing invitation to read it.
